| Students will be exposed to three major disciplines of engineering….mechanical, electrical and civil engineering. Campers will experience demonstrations, participate in hands on activities and design in a teamwork environment. The culmination of the camp will be a contest on Friday based on their bridge designs and a graduation ceremony….parents are encouraged to attend and tour Kaufman Engineering Hall and see some activities the campers have participated in. Examples of activities….. Mechanical- design for the environment, understanding materials, motion, jet engine demonstration, airplane design and performance contests Electrical – circuit board design, alternative energy sources, Civil- Strength testing, bridge design in teams, bridge strength design contests. | |
